What we believe

'For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God' Ephesians 2v8

We believe the Bible is the Word of God. It alone teaches the truth about God, man and sin.

The Bible tells us that God is holy (Psalm 99v9) and men are not just sinful but are sinners (Psalm 51v3; Romans 3v10-11).

God who punishes all sin is kind and gracious.

Today He offers us an opportunity to have sin forgiven and guilt removed. God’s perfect Son, Jesus, is our only hope.

Jesus willingly died on the cross to take the punishment we deserved. Through His death, all who trust in Jesus as their Saviour will have their sin removed and their heart, attitude and desires changed. They enter into a new relationship with God through Jesus...

After we turn to Jesus for forgiveness the Bible calls us ‘new creations’ (2 Cor. 5v17) or ‘born again’ (John 3v3) because of the radical ‘life change‘ that Jesus makes in our lives. Jesus is the Saviour everyone needs. Jesus said “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14v6).

When Jesus transforms your life he makes a REAL IMPACT on your life that will last for eternity.

HOW DO I BECOME A CHRISTIAN?

Realising how to become a Christian is the most important discovery of your life! Becoming a Christian is more than joining a church or saying a prayer. It is a personal relationship that will last for eternity. Do you know what will happen to you the moment you die? Where will you find yourself? Where is your destination?

There are only two destinations - and both are eternal: You will either find yourself living for eternity in heaven or existing for eternity in hell. Where will you be?

Eternity in heaven - This destination is reserved for those who receive Jesus Christ's gift of eternal salvation. Contrary to popular belief, heaven is not for the church-goers, the devout, or the "good people." The only stipulation is receiving God's gift of salvation.

Eternity in hell is reserved for those who reject Jesus Christ and His Gospel. The Bible sums up the Gospel like this: : "...That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures" ! Corinthians 15v3-4).

The Bible explains how to become a Christian in very simple terms:

Realise that everyone has sinned and can not live up to God's standard of holiness. Romans 3v23 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Understand that the penalty for our sin is death. Romans 6v23 states: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Accept God's gift. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place, so we could be spared from hell. Romans 5v8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." According to the Bible, we aren't required to subscribe to a religious formula or do more good things than bad ones. God gives His gift freely to all who ask. "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10v13). The Bible calls this repenting; i.e. turning from your sin and your old life to Jesus as Saviour and Lord. It is God's desire that all should reach repentance.' (2 Peter 3v9)

Once you discover how to become a Christian and then accept God's gift, the Bible says that you can be 100 percent assured of your eternal designation. 1 John 5v11-13 says, "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."

Your response!

Are you aware that your sin needs to be forgiven?

Have you understood that Jesus died in the cross to purchase you salvation by his death?

Do you acknowledge his death was for you and that three days after he die he rose again? He is the one and only living, risen Saviour who is powerful to forgive you. no one else had done, nor can ever do what he did for you on the cross.

Do you understand that every one in this world ned Jesus' salvation no matter what their background or life style is?

Tell God about you life and your need of him now in prayer. Using your own words be honest with God... Admit your sin to Him, repent before Him (say sorry and turn away from your old life); then accept Jesus as your Saviour and Lord.

The words you use are not as important as sincerely meaning them in you head and heart.
